Frequently asked questions
What free things can I do in Knoxville this October?
About 20 events on this list are free. They include Movie on the Lawn: Ghostbusters on October 7, the Home and Garden Show on October 17, the Knoxville Buddy Walk on October 25, Walking Dead Trivia at Orange Hat Brewing on October 27, and the Harriman Horror Movie Fest on October 29.
What is there to do in Knoxville on Halloween night 2026?
Halloween falls on Saturday this year. Skyfest runs from noon to close on October 31 at Crafty Bastard Brewery on Kingston Pike, with live music all day. Trick or treat times are set neighborhood by neighborhood, so check your own community's page for those. If you want more Halloween events, check my Halloween map here.
Are prices and times on this list accurate?
Hopefully. Everything here reflects what organizers had posted as of October 6, 2026, and details do change. Each listing links to its source, so confirm the time, price, and location there before you head out. Weather can also affect the events on the day.
Will you do this list again in November?
Yes, this is a recurring monthly feature that I pull together. If you want a reminder, sign up for my newsletter at christinatheknoxrealtor.com. It's a physical mailer instead of an email, so it lands in your actual mailbox and includes a few highlighted events and a monthly directory of local spots (like farmstands or pumpkin patches).
So, which one is going on your calendar? And if you know about something good that I missed, tell me. I'd love to add it.
